Art Of The Title

The point of the Title sequence is to show the audience the main characters whether this be in a film or television program. It also sets the scene for the audience, showing the tone for the show/film and presenting the genre within the program.
The films featured in the 'A Brief History of The Art of the Title Sequence' include Lady In the Lake, Anatomy of a Murder and Sherlock Homes.
Anatomy of a Murder uses an image of an old fashion outline of a body unattached from the limbs, by using this it portrays to the audience the genre of this program.

Vertigo is an extremely effective title sequence. The title is white placed on top of a eye, the whole image is red apart from the title making it more effective and prominent of the screen the typography lifts to showcase a spiral reeling in the eye, the hypnotic sense links to the title 'vertigo' meaning hazed or dizzy.
The redness of the picture foreshadows/suggests murder or a significant event in the program along with the hypnotic sense the program suggests to center around danger- it also suggests that the main character or one of them will have be an unwilling participant to the events that unravel.

Bullitt is also very effective. Bullitt is in black and white suggesting that this film is very old or has been done to show that the characters or the film itself are easy to read and you are able to tell what SIDE they are on. With the title being placed in-front of four men shows that these men will be the main vocal point in the film. With the men in the shadows it shows and the title prominent it shows that the characters may be shady may suggest a gangster film.

BRAZIL
"The optical effects in Brazil have quite a timeless quality to them. I did not consciously set out to create something so lasting. It was more of a serendipitous happening."
The only typography is 'Brazil' in neon lights with a exotic font. The visual imagery is very simple, it looks like your flying or floating above the sky, the 'happy go lucky' feeling along with the relaxing music, the explosions severs that 'happy feeling'.After the explosions occurs the typical horror/thriller music comes in.

SWEENEY TODD

"Animating blood and its movement became the most crucial and challenging element of the sequence. We had to build special platforms within which we imitated blood movement and filmed it. And we had to give it this comical feel, which worked really well."
Typography-By using a font that gives the film an authentic look, it shows the audience it was set in an older period possibly the 1900's, the white text on top of a black background suggests darkness in the film, (death) this could also be supported by the red running throughout the title sequence which represents blood. This portrays the genre to the audience.
Visual Imagery-Again the dripping of the blood shows that the film will be quite sinister, it almost foreshadows the events in the film, we are already able to tell that people will be hurt/murdered. This wary feel can link to the menacing title Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.
Elements of Sound- The music is very much like an orchestra  slow, sinister music with an obvious string effect. This type of music is very similar for a horror style feel; it builds the audience up heightening their awareness of the forthcoming events.

Opening Sequence Analysis- The Notebook(Romantic)

Camara Shots
Most of the shots in this scene are close ups, these show the intanicy of their relationship, if all the shots were long shots it would take the focus away from thier love, and show that they are not that important to one and other by having as many close ups as possble it shows the audicne that these two people should be our only focus. There are however a few long shots, for example the extreme long shot of them rowing in the rain, this now gives the audience a sense of where the couple are and what they are doing.

Mise en Scene
The contrast of the two characters costumes can tell us alot about them. The woman wearing a blue dress, with a pinned up do with sutle  make up shows that either her or her family are wealthy compaered to her  male compain who is wearing a white undertop,(untaucked) with a ungromed beard, by showing the contrasts of these two people, it portrays to the auidnce that anyone from any background can find love. These clothes are typivcal of the 1940/50's, helping the audince get a better understand of the film.
Both actors give the impression that they love eachother but are somehow unable to express this, we can tell this by the silence during the boat ride, by the way the women is sitting we can tell she is very closed of from the man for unknown reason(shown later in the scene).Again thier behavoiur are very typival of the 50s men and woman were not expected to be in intimante in public.
This clip uses natural lighting due to te fact they are outside they were able to make use of the natural light.
The one noticable prop is the boat, which transports the couple around the lake.

Sound
There is alot of sound in this clip from the rain to the orcastrated music, all of which is used effectly.
The thunder that starts as they paddle back to shore may have ment to foreshaddow the argument they are about to have, it may also resemble how one minuete the couple are fine one minuate and hate each other the next (proinant in thre rest of the film).
The oracstra music during the rain is subtle and suits the scene, the music complement inner feelings of both parties.
The music becomes more prominate as they become more physical, showing the lust between them, but at the same time is still soft and gentle unlike the horror.
As the love scene arrives the music fades away so were are listening to the actors heavy breathing, which is very effective, it again shows the audience the passion between them.
The music communicates to audience the love they share  eventhrough rough times which may be represented by rain.

Edtitng
Again the editing is sutble which compliments the scene beautifully, the music fades in and out when needed to either hightlight the charachters feelings or the feelings they share.

Opening sequence analysis- Jennifer's body(Horror)

Camera Shots                                                                                                                                              The first shot in this scene is a two shot close up, of Jennifer and Colin kissing giving the audience a false scene of security thinking it would be a love scene. The next shot is a single close up of Jennifer face showing the changing of her eyes, showing the audience what the scene will actually focus on.Then another close up of Collin's face showing his reaction to her change.A medium shot is then used to show the cutting of Collin's hand and then both. A long shot then shows the physical power of Jenifer. In this scene there are a variety of different shots to show the scene and emotions of each character.

Mise en Scene                                                                                                                                            The costumes are very basic, it is the scenery this is effective, the sheets, small candles with work boards all add to the eeriness horror of the scene. The two actors really make this scene. The male shows how frightened and scared he is while the women shows her supernatural side. The changing of eyes, the fangs and deformation of the body shows that their is a more sinister  side to the film/character. The scenery and minimal costumes suit both the movie and the scene, by keeping it minimal the whole focus is on the characters and murder that is about to ensue.

Sound                                                                                                                                                         Unlike the comedy the horror has a sinister music with a deep base feel, the sharpness of the  cutting(diegetic) sound adds to the creepiness of the scene, the cracking of the bones is also very sharp giving the audience a physical pain factor that they (the audience) could relate too. The slithering sound when her eyes change give the audience not only an image in which they can see but the sound helps them to relate to her physical being. Most of the sounds only the audience could here (non-diegetic). There are on screen sounds as well as off, we can see him cut his hand(on screen sound). As Collin is ripped apart by Jennifer there is a deep base music to add to the ambiance. The ego of Jennifer's voice 'I need you helpless' puts the audience in Collins mental/physical state so we( the auidence) become Collin, it shows us how he is disoriented due to the braking of his bones and been thrown to the floor.

Editing

There is minimal editing in this clip, it adds to the fast pace/thrilling sequence that this scene entails, if there was fancy transitions for example dissolving pixels it would take the attention away from the chaos, the minimal transitions help the scene, they were used affectedly so the attention is all on the killing.

Opening Sequence Analysis - ' TheHangover' (Comedy)

Camera Shots
The first shot it a wide over the shoulder shot, establishing the scenes location. The over the holders shot show a police officers uniform, suggesting to us that the three characters are in police interview. The closing of the door brings in the next shot which is a long shot showing the main characters in this scene.  There are many medium shots in this scene, focusing on specific things/people for example the effect of  stun gun on all three characters (Stu,Alan and Phil) another example is the close up of the officers, showing their emotional rage towards the three men. These shots are appropriate for the scene because the scene is all about the emotion, an extreme long shot for example would not be appropriate because it would not show the emotion as well.

Mise-en- scene
The most prominent items are costumes are the officers uniform, showing the power/authority they have over the other three men. Stu,Alan,Phil are dressed in the same clothes they wore the previous night (earlier in the film) showing they are untidy and lower than the police officers. All  lighting in this clip is superficial lighting because it is inside a police station which has little natural light in.
As far as the actors go in this scene there are two 'groups' so to speak. There is the two police officers who seem vindictive and spiteful, who seem not to care/worry about upholding the law an twist it so it suits them, an example is when they use the three men to show children how to taser someone, this is not police practise. Then you have the second the three men who are confused about their own situation and are trying to piece their night together (seen later in the film).
There are minimal props used in this scene you have the clipboard held by the male police officer, this is an  extra thing for the audience to look at but has little importance to the plot. Then there is the taser which is used on Stu,Alan and Phil, this creates maximum effect because you can not only see the taser and its effect on the men but you are also able to hear it. A taser is a typical thing for an American police officer to be carrying but not in the way this officer is.

Sound                                                                                                                                                      There is little sound in this clip apart from the characters talking(Diegetic). The first thing we hear is off screen which is the closing and opening of the door, then after about a minute and a half there is some sort of jazzy music with a percussion that gives it a kind eery but upbeat feel, suggesting something bad/funny is about to happen, only the audience can hear this music(Non Diegetic).           On the next shot you have the sound of the stun gun and then the music/sounds gets louder as the children aim at the men and meet its peak as the taser is fired at Alan, the music becomes more intense and sinister each child gears up and aims.

Editing

There is no flash editing in this clip and you don't expect there to be, even  in a comedy, each shot blends nicely into one and other, as the transitions happen you get an idea of what is about to happen.

Opening sequence evaluations A/S examples.

I really liked this small clip- especially as its a romantic comedy, it looks really professional (as professional as an A/S clip could be) i would probably give the film a 54 out 60 purely because it is hard to find faults in the opening, it is obvious it has the characteristics of a level four piece, the camera angles are varied, the titles are appropriate for the genre conventions, the mise-en-scene is also relatively well done for the genre conventions. The park is a typical place for a romantic heart to heart as well as the clothing adds to the intimacy of their relationship. Also the varied shots including a pan, medium shots and close all add up to the mark I have given.

"Year of the Serpent" is quite possibly one of my favourite films from the A/S media groups, i find it really interesting how they create the confusion for the audience, we feel really disoriented and don't have a clear idea(the enigma code) why is there a man in the air vent? The genres/ mise-en-scene  of a thriller are well presented here for example the clothing ( in black) shows/suggesting the man is mysterious, this also adds to the level 4, the camera angles are almost perfect, there is little shaking and the stability of the filming is so good. Adding the music, i believe the piece would get 56/60.

Film Representations

Who/What is being represented in the opening?

The first thing being represented is Scottish myths and a typical Scottish family who own a kingdom. With a young girl who does not want to be conformed to her families traditions.

How is this being represented?

The Scottish myths are being represented by the strong Scottish accent with the shots of the stones and mystical mountains, with the blue mist s this all adds to the mystery. The typical Scottish family is being represented by them all having ginger hair sitting round a large wooden table eating meat, we can tell they are Scottish not just buy their actions but the shots of the woodlands and lakes. The presentation of the young girl who does not want to inform to her families traditions is being presented by her slumping  in the chair talking about wanting freedom

Is there evidence of Dyer or Barthes’ theories in this opening? Justify, using detailed examples.

There are hints of Barths theory in 'Brave' for example the magical blue mist in Scotland- Scotland is stereotypical very nitty gritty so for the blue mist makes Scotland see magical full of wonder which is far from the truth, although beautiful there is no magic-this makes 'Brave' seem fluffy and magical.

Peer Anaylsis- Juno

Group
How was the use of camera shots?
Use of editing?
Use of lighting?
Overall success of video
  Charlotte
  Benjy
  Ben
Most of the shots where pretty good apart from the shakiness of them. You could tell that the camera was hand held.
The editing effects are used well, they used dissolve to get the right shot of the feet they also used the colour emboss to make it more like the original which is very effective.
They were filming outside so the only lighting they used was natural.
The overall video is great, it is very similar to the original, you can tell that they took a lot of time to produce this. The only thing i suggest is to find a stabiliser for the camera.
  Lara       Dom
The very first shot is very shaky, its hard to focus on Dom with his head being cropped out of the shot. Apart from this the shots are very still and focused, with each shot close to that of the original it is very good.
The cartoon effect that they used is very effective, they have taken into consideration the original clip and reproduced this on their own. They also used the slow motion tool, although it does not suit some aspects of the Juno opening it is appropriate for others, they seem to have mastered this concept very well.
They were filming outside so the only lighting they used was natural.
The overall video is mixed they have great shots with the correct length of the original but they also have some scenes in the wrong order, this is a small mistake that they could easily rectify. All in the piece is good, small adjustment need to be made in order for it get better.
  Sarah
George
Kaitlyn

Compared to others the very first shot is extremely stable is obvious they used a stabiliser.  They also put in the extra detail for example 'the runner' this is not in any other clips, so its refreshing to see they considered the original. The only thing I would suggest is the ending, which is very abrupt, if they managed to smoothed it then it would be fantastic.
They editing their piece well; the shots were well timed and considered the original. They used an effect witch made the clip more of a cartoon than it would be if the effect was not used.
They also used different transitions to break up the shots which I thought was done effectively.

They were filming outside so the only lighting they used was natural.
The overall video was the best I have seen. Its precise timing along with with the different transitions brought the clip all together, the fact that they timed it along to the original helped tremendously  One thing they could improve on was the smoothness of the ending. It ended abruptly  if this was smoother the clip would be amazing.
 James B
Megan
Like the others the others some shots are very shaky, this shows that a stabiliser was not used during the making. One shot due to the shaking Megan's head was cut of for a small duration however the shots were clear and precise, mimicking that of the original.
They used one effect called 'push' for the foot shot. Apart from that I do not think they used any other effect.

They were filming outside so the only lighting they used was natural.
Overall I think the clip was a good effort, they found an effect that worked for what they wanted. They had the shots in the correct order and for the right amount of time. Overall a good job.

Juno Opening Sequence reflection

Group- James Clifford,Becky Stanway and Emma Rolfe

What did you learn about filming and editing?

I learnt that when using the camera the holder must have a stable hand, as evident in our film most shots are very shaky due to the fact that we had nothing stable holding the camera. We also found it extremely difficult to get the precise shots for the right amount of time, we kept referring to the video to make sure we had the correct angles. We also learnt what shots were needed when for example 'long shot', 'extreme close up' and 'mid long shot' to name a few. I also learnt that it easier to have over shot and cut it then to have under shot and go out and re shoot.

Did you use any useful effects?

Whilst editing we only used one effect, 'Cineon Converter' this effect made the clip more of a cartoon which mimicked the Juno opening.

What went well in terms of editing?

In terms of editing there was a lot of cropping and moving clips about because we filmed out of sequence so we had to move clips to the correct part of the sequence. We tried to get the clip length and accuracy of the shot as close to the opening of Juno as possible, this was very time consuming because we had to watch the Juno clip then watch ours and figure out what bits need cutting. At this point we were very lucky to have overshot so we had enough footage, it was also another change to get to grips with using Premiere and all its features.

What could of gone better?

I feel that the transition of our Juno could of gone better. Our shots jump from one to the next. The Juno trailer shots despite or slide into one and other. We were unable to tilt left and right and pan. Another thing that could of gone slightly better is the cameras stillness. Most shots were very shaky, we could of used a stabiliser to keep the shots still.

Institutions

Stereotypical interpretations.

In the beginning of the clip two things are being represented; the 'engagement hype' and 'bridezilla syndrome'. This is being represented by the girls screaming frantically hugging, planning their big day together as best friends. This is very stereotypical of getting married- money has suddenly appeared- this is so unrealistic most couples unless in a very fortune situation have so save up for years for their perfect wedding while in film they have cash instantly. Another example of Barthes theory of media being fluffy is the perfect wedding with your child hood best friend, its so very unlikely that two girls remain friends from young childhood to adulthood.

'Legally Blonde' BARTHES theory analysis.

Right at the beginning of the clip you are shown blond hair and a woman's nails that are perfectly manicured, this shows that its easy to get the perfect hair and nails, showing Barthes theory of films becoming lovey dovey in the perfect world.
As you see the boys fighting, they are young, fit and good looking, this shows another stereotypical part of films; all boys should be young and fit, again supporting Barthes theory of films being romanticised. As the girl cycles past and the boys shout and whoop at her, this suggests that all boys find young thin girls attractive, this is stereotypical of films they do not have someone of average looks or size because this would sell.
The shot where she is painting her nails surrounded by make up brushes and pink fluffy things again shows the stereotypical view of girls, or the 'perfect' girl so to speak, the flowers also suggests this.
The shot in the gym again shows that girls should work out to be perfect and that it is a necessity of life, the woman holding the small weights shows that girls cant hold/handle the larger weights this again is a very good example of Bathes theory showing that girls are fragile beings and shouldn't be given harder objects/tasks.
On the girls desk you notice blond hair dye on her desk, this again shows how girls fantasise about being blonds and will go to dye their hair to get the desired 'look'. Another great example of Bathes theory of films.
Notice how most girls are wearing a shade of pink or hearts this again is a stereotypical look on a girl-fluffy headed that loves pink, another example is the girls in the bathroom in their underwear, it is very common in films for girls  to be applying make up or doing their hair in their underwear because is suggests their vulnerability, they are also wearing matching sets, showing they are organised and make a conscious effect into their underwear another representation of the 'perfect' girl.
Also notice how the song through out is very girly and stereotypical of a 'slumber party'.

Applying Dyer's Theory

Dyer's theory- "How we are seen determines how we are treated, and how treat others depends on how we see them'
Task- List 3 groups of people who you think you could apply DYER'S theory to (IE - that we treat them according to the way the media teaches us to see them.

OAPs

The media perceives OAPs as well respected  citizens of the community who sit at home and knit. We therefor perceive the older generation as not a treat, we treat them with respect and offer to help them when we can. A good example of this is grandparents, we respect our grandparents sometimes more than we do our parents because of what they have seen/done in their lifetime, we perceive them as fragile. However 260 over-65s were arrested for serious crimes in 2009. This statics show that we sometimes look at older people as harmless when in fact they still commit crimes!

Pop Stars

The media portraits pop stars in two different ways; either as incredibly talented who should be admired by everyone or as a drug taking crack head who is causing trouble.

The talented portrayed, when a new music sensation comes out the media are one of the first to do some digging and in most cases the same story comes out, 'hard life' 'fighting for the dream' 'family tradgedy' All of these titles have come out of the media when talking about a new music star. They talk about how hard their life has been and the struggle they had reaching their dreams. With these stories the public automatically feel a connection and look up to these stars who have proved that 'anything is possible'. For example teen sensation One Direction although their life has not been hard they were formed on Xfactor and it was apparent fate that made them click. With their squeaky clean image the boy band are a world wide hit, young girls look up to them as their idols, someone who they want to marry etc. But if the media did not portray them as that , then would we still think of them in such a way? For example Brittany Spears, who was a pop sensation turned drug addict, the media turned on her on an instant and because of this so did the public. Disregarding hits and charity work they trashed her image and although due to her own admission was 'not in the right frame of mind' the media added fuel to the fire by publicly embarrassing her whenever they had the chance. Now Brittany is back they again praise her for her struggle and so the public forgive and forget the drug abuse, the shaving of her hair, all because the media now say she is OK.

Teenagers

Teenagers are portrayed in the media as hooded hooligans who lie, take drugs, drink and are a burden on the local communities. So with the media portraying them as that they are treated with suspicions. For example, in most small convince stores they have a ' no more than two' policy. Although a small majority of teenagers are 'hulgans' most are members of the community who are happy to help, they go to school, respect their elders (and don't rob them like the media say) they help around the house and are in at a reasonable time. The only time you ever seen teens is when they are being bashed by the media, never are they commend for their grades or success in politics or the work place. People seen teens as a  nuisance because that is how they are portrayed.

Identify key characters and think about what they represent in the opening

Daniel Radcliffe is an obvious main character because most camera shots are of him doing/looking at something, you can also tell that the house is a main part of the film although not person it features a lot in the camera shots of the trailer, then the women in black that is always in the background is obliviously the thriller part of the film.

Preferred and oppositional reading.

http://mixedknuts.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/m-and-m-red-propaganda-poster1.jpg

Preferred reading

The preferred reading of this poster is comic, showing the 'M'nM' as a war leader with his followers beneath him with 'vote Red' at the bottom, and the MnM logo at the bottom all suggest that this is a comic poster.

Oppositional Reading

The oppositional reading to this poster is someone making a joke out of the sacrifice that people made for the freedom of others, this poster, if not shown in the correct context, could easily upset someone for example a war veteran. It may also suggest war as the block colour is red, suggesting blood or violence, the way the MnM has its hand forward it resembles Nazi party posters.

Poster Analysis

Jennifer's Body Poster Analysis.
By just looking at the poster we can assume that the film will be in a school setting due to the blackboard behind Megan Fox along with the desk she is sitting at and text books. We can also tell by the way she is position they she will be the main character, from her position we can assume that the character she is playing is a 'popluar' girl for a few reasons; the heels, mini skirt and low top suggest that she is no virgin Mary, although we can only make assumptions she does not look academically smart.most likely caring about her looks more than her academic subjects. We know Megan Fox is am attractive person so she fits well with the character.
We can also tell the film is going to be a thriller/horror. We can see (denotations) a discoloured arm with blood around it, so we assume (connotation) that this person has been murdered. Megan Fox has blood tripping from her mouth so we can assume from this she is either a vampire.
Also the fact that the title of the film is in red suggests to us that death is a big part in this film, certainly blood anyway. The way the bottom of the 'y' drags down on the picture and a drop of red is on the blackboard edge again suggests dripping blood, we instantly connect blood with a murder so the assumption is that Megan Fox's character is a teen murder.
Megan Fox is also in red in black. Red again suggests blood or anger where death suggests death. The annotations to this poster all go in the same direction. We assume that the film is about a teenage vampire.

Picture Analysis

As a starter in class we were given a genre and a target audience, we were then asked to go and create an image that represents this.
We were given the genre of romantic comedy and the target audience of teenage girls. We decided to take this shot because with the school block on the foreground you can automatically tell that it is set in a school. We then chose to have the photo to be taken on the playground because this is when most communication happens, 'playground gossip' would play a massive part in this film.
By having a an arm round his waist and onto  his shoulder you are able to tell that the girl in the red and the boy in the blue are in a relationship. However the boy and the the girl in the blue are holding hands suggesting they are also in a relationship. This is linked into the genre, the romantic comedy will be the boy having a relationship with two people and trying to keep them both a secret from one and other.
We decided to keep the picture in full colour because it shows that this film is full of different personalities and different twist and turns.

Genre and Opening sequence

Snow White & The Huntsman opening sequence analysis.

The first shot of the opening sequence is of a dark sky following a crow that comes into centre focus of the camera with an intense swooping sound from the crows wings suggesting that the crow is an important part in the film, as the crow squawks in dissipates into thousands that fly into a dimly lit castle suggesting that the film is based on/in a kingdom. The narration from the woman starts early, as we can not see her nor do we know who she is we assume she is a main character in the film.As the women narrates over the scene hooves hit the floor suggesting that a battle is about to commence and amour hitting amour, the slow motion fight gives the viewer time to digest what the narrator is saying.
Intense music accompanies the blackout, as the music gets more intense the camera moves closer to both women there is thump of bass, the woman in gold wears a crown, suggesting she is hierarchy/the Queen of the kingdom, her action of holding the young girl by the throat also suggests she is a harsh ruler. Two more base thumps as the young girl ages due to the Queen sucking out, what we assume is her soul. The music reaches its pivotal point when the Queen raises her head, this shot shows the audience that she holds all the power, the removal of the girls souls shows that there is magic in the film it also shows that the Queen is an evil character.
The narration shows how 'she' is feeling, at this point we still do not know who she is, however we assume she is the Queen to do the references she uses.
The next shot of the Queen on top of on someone suggests that was she may have used foul play to secure her position of Queen. The sound of the sword being pulled out of its cover is exaggerated to increase suspense and show the Queens power. As the sword descends the shot is taken into an explosion, this creates an enigma because we do not know if the Queen did in fact kill that person.
The strong image of the Queen coming out of the white liquid wearing the crown with her hands over her breast show that she is protecting her weakness, the Queen narrates 'beauty is my power' suggesting that she uses her looks to do her bidding. The white also links to 'Snow White' this could show that the Queen tries to become Snow White herself.
When the mirror comes to life if shows that the film has a mystical genre to it, the liquid gold again shows the power/money the queen has, it however may suggest that the Queen is a 'witch' and shows that the film is set in a time where witchery was known and feared, explain why she is in power.
As another character is introduced the word 'fairest' is matched with her along with her walking into the light with a purple mystical sparkle around her, we automatically think that she is a good character due to the lighting and sounds at her entrance.
The next shot is her on top of a hill wearing full amour, clutching a sword while looking down at the castle this suggests that a rebellion is about to take place or a pivotal point in the girls journey.
As the Queen narrators 'find me someone who doesn't fear the dark forest' the huntsman comes into view yielding axes showing this as a strong character  in the film.
The shattering of the glass in front of the Queen suggests that she looses some power and becomes weaker during the film.
Quoting the original film snow white shows that this film is loosely based around it, the crows becoming the woman also show the crows are linked to her, the crows are also associated to death suggesting that as we suspected the Queen is evil and causes death in her kingdom.
There are many themes from this trailer for example; the liquid mirror shows that witchcraft and magic will take a roll in the play, the kiss between Snow White and another show there will also be love in the film.
The trailer creates an enigma for the audience so they are intrigued and more likely to see the film.
